Coach Jim Hartman was the first Varsity Football Coach for the Yarmouth Clippers. After establishing the program in 2004, Coach Hartman led the Clippers to back- to -back undefeated seasons resulting in Class C championships in 2010 and 2011. Leaving Yarmouth with a 33-20 overall record, he became the head coach at Portland High school for seven seasons. He led the Portland Bulldogs to three State Championship games and an overall record of 58-22. He was very excited to return to coach the Clippers and looks forward to the 2021 season. He has a 95-47 record and has led his teams to eight Conference Championship games and five State title games. Coach Hartman lives in Portland with his wife Penny. He enjoys spending time with his three children, their spouses and his seven grandchildren when he is not coaching.
Chris has been with YHS football for the past 13 years. He lives in Yarmouth with his wife, Debbie, and has a daughter, Brittany.
Aaron Mann is beginning his 3rd season as a football coach for the Clippers. Aaron the director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Southern Maine, a non-profit ministry focused on serving coaches and athletes across the state. He is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and investing in the lives of young men and women. Aaron, his wife, Hope, and their 2 daughters, Oakleigh and Kendall, are originally from Georgia, but have grown to love the state of Maine over the past 3 years.
Nick is starting his first season as a football coach for the Clippers and is excited to help with the program. Nick grew up in Chicago where he played football and is passionate about the sport and exciting to get into coaching. Nick, his wife Julia, and daughter Margaret moved to Maine last year from Portsmouth to be closer to family. In his free time, he enjoys working out, skiing, golf, and exploring all New England has to offer with his family.
Mark Renna, husband to Harmony Renna of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, father to two daughters Annabelle (11) and Ashley (10). Mark grew up in Portland Maine. Started playing football at the age of 9 for Portland Little Ladd coached by Jim Hartman. Moved to Winham for junior high school, (no football in Windham back in the 90's) so played on a travel football team the Portland Sea Hawks founded and coached by Jim Hartman. Played football and graduated from Cheverus High School in 1997. Played college football for two years at Plymouth State University. Mark has coached high school football for 21 years, 7 with coach Hartman. He has a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and works for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
